It was Dr. Borrero’s lifelong love of animals that impelled him toward a career as a veterinarian. “I get great joy out of making animals feel better.” He says.
A Native of San Juan, Puerto Rico, Dr. Borrero attended the University of West Florida for his undergraduate studies where he earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Biology in 1992. He attended University of Florida where he earned his Doctorate of Veterinarian Medicine in 1997. GO GATORS!!!
After graduating from veterinary school, Dr. Borrero received extensive experience working at a busy multi-doctor hospital as well as an emergency clinic in Miami, Florida.
Outside of work, Dr. Borrero enjoys spending time with his children, he loves watching sports, enjoys outdoor activities like running, mountain bike riding, swimming, among other things. He also likes traveling, bowling, dining out and spending time with family! Dr. Borrero also has two dogs: Camila and Bruno.

Alexis has volunteered for some non-profits for animal rescue and continues to contribute in any way she can. She has one fur baby named Stella who she absolutely loves and adores.
Outside the clinic, Alexis enjoys going to the beach, watching movies, dancing and especially helping others whether it’s somebody two legged or four!!
Before residing in South Florida in 1992 ,Julie raced and trained Standardbred horses for 30 years. Continuing her love for animals,she worked at a small Animal Hospital in Pompano for 10 years as Asst.manager/ receptionist.
Julie is married, has one son and three fur babies. She enjoys being outdoors in nature,enjoys gardening and will always help out clients with any needs for their fur babies.
After a lifetime of preparing for the veterinary field, she has found her home and second family in the Aycock Veterinary Team.
When not spending time with your family's pets at work, she is spoiling her two fur babies Seven and Sootsprite. She also enjoys the beach, museums and a true crime story.
