Dr. Javier Borrero is a General Medicine Practitioner and Soft Tissue Surgeon that has been the Owner and Director of Aycock Veterinary Clinic since 2007.

It was Dr. Borrero’s lifelong love of animals that impelled him toward a career as a veterinarian. “I get great joy out of making animals feel better.” He says.

A Native of San Juan, Puerto Rico, Dr. Borrero attended the University of West Florida for his undergraduate studies where he earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Biology in 1992. He attended University of Florida where he earned his Doctorate of Veterinarian Medicine in 1997. GO GATORS!!!

After graduating from veterinary school, Dr. Borrero received extensive experience working at a busy multi-doctor hospital as well as an emergency clinic in Miami, Florida.

Outside of work, Dr. Borrero enjoys spending time with his children, he loves watching sports, enjoys outdoor activities like running, mountain bike riding, swimming, among other things. He also likes traveling, bowling, dining out and spending time with family! Dr. Borrero also has two dogs: Camila and Bruno.

Alexis was born and raised in South Florida. She grew up with lots of animals and always had so much love and empathy for them from a very young age, this ignited her passion and encouraged her to pursue an education and career in Veterinary Medicine.

Alexis has volunteered for some non-profits for animal rescue and continues to contribute in any way she can. She has one fur baby named Stella who she absolutely loves and adores.

Outside the clinic, Alexis enjoys going to the beach, watching movies, dancing and especially helping others whether it’s somebody two legged or four!!

Anna is the newest member as the Aycock Team. She has learned to appreciate the care of our pets. Anna has 2 fur babies she loves dearly. Outside the clinic Anna enjoys reading, spending time with family and making arts and crafts with her mom.

Julie was born and raised in Upstate NY. She has always shown love and compassion for any animals that cross her path.

Before residing in South Florida in 1992 ,Julie raced and trained Standardbred horses for 30 years. Continuing her love for animals,she worked at a small Animal Hospital in Pompano for 10 years as Asst.manager/ receptionist.

Julie is married, has one son and three fur babies. She enjoys being outdoors in nature,enjoys gardening and will always help out clients with any needs for their fur babies.

Meagan is a veterinary technician re-owned for her exceptional skill and boundless compassion in animal care. Megan is one of our Veterinary Technicians and was born and raised in South Florida. Ever since she was a child the veterinary field was her dream job. She was known for rescuing and aiding countless animals native to florida. That passion grew into learning more about the animals we keep inside.

After a lifetime of preparing for the veterinary field, she has found her home and second family in the Aycock Veterinary Team.

When not spending time with your family's pets at work, she is spoiling her two fur babies Seven and Sootsprite. She also enjoys the beach, museums and a true crime story.

With a compassionate heart and an unwavering dedication to service, Scott brings a unique blend of expertise and passion to the veterinary field. Transitioning from a dynamic career as a paramedic to real estate, and now to a veterinary technician, Scott has consistently demonstrated a commitment to making a positive impact in both human and animal lives.
