
Dr. Javier Borrero is a General Medicine Practitioner and Soft Tissue Surgeon that has been the Owner and Director of Aycock Veterinary Clinic since 2007.
It was Dr. Borrero’s lifelong love of animals that impelled him toward a career as a veterinarian. “I get great joy out of making animals feel better.” He says.
A Native of San Juan, Puerto Rico, Dr. Borrero attended the University of West Florida for his undergraduate studies where he earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Biology in 1992. He attended University of Florida where he earned his Doctorate of Veterinarian Medicine in 1997. GO GATORS!!!
After graduating from veterinary school, Dr. Borrero received extensive experience working at a busy multi-doctor hospital as well as an emergency clinic in Miami, Florida.
Outside of work, Dr. Borrero enjoys spending time with his daughter, he loves watching sports, enjoys outdoor activities like running, mountain bike riding, swimming, among other things. He also likes traveling, bowling, dining out and spending time with family! Dr. Borrero also has two dogs: Jordan and Megan and a cat named Annie-Booboo.
